Singapore Flyer - 26th April 08

We had our JLL Family Day yesterday. Spouses and children are also entitled to free tickets to ride on the Singapore Flyer. FOC leh, of cos all go lah....

The program starts from 10am - 3pm. Since parking lots there are limited we decided to go early. Anyway by the time we reach there it was almost 1030am liao. Weather was super hot siah, my ZoZo face was burning red and he was perspiring so much until his whole head was wet.

Our first stop was to to the Greek Theatre where, goodie bags were given out and Chriss Fossick will be giving his informal speech to all who will be present. Nothing much lah, Magic show for the kids, and balloons. A professional photographer took a family shot for us. Don't when will get it leh...

Lunch coupons at the Popeyes were given as well for each adult. By 1130am I was getting hungry liao, so we better go grab some Popeye chicken before the Q starts. Who knows when we went in, the Q was already super long. Fortunately we could still grab a table. By the time Shida and the rest came in, tables were all occupied liao. And I was still q-ing. ZoZo was happily eating his bread while waiting his papa and him waiting for me to get the food.

Q-ed half way, saw Dar's army fren, Sunny. He walked passed our table, but they both didn't noticed. I called Dar and asked if he saw Sunny. He did not, so when he called and ask when he was there as well, then we realised his wife is actually a JLL staff too for years. Alamak, we knew each other but all this while didn't even know she was my HQ colleague. Anyway, hardly go HQ, somore so many hundreds staff, don't "c normal" wan....


Well, we took our own sweet time to eat. By the time we are done, my ZoZo fell asleep le. He was too tired as he did not have his am nap. I carried him in my arms for him to sleep. Kenneth and Shirley joined our table after they had their ride. Since ZoZo was sleeping, we just let him sleep until he's awake then we go for the ride. Sunny called and said our photos are exhibited at Greek Theatre...wow...that's fast!! It's was printed out in credit card size with JLL and Singapore Flyers logo. Quite cool.


Fortunately he had almost 1.5 hrs nap, at least he won't be so grouchy and moody. By the time he woke up, it was almost 2pm. Proceed straight for the ride. Nobody de, no Q de, just walk in straight to the capsule. Before we went in, we stood infront of some huge lightning like cameras and smiled dumbl,y, standing in a opened space room, with partitioned for different families. We'll have to hold on to the black credit card size disc for collection of our photos. Damn hi-tech hor, maybe not to some ppl lah, but i suaku mah.... Aiya....just take first lah, see nice or not loh (of cos if want muz pay wan loh)...

The whole capsule on has 6 adults and my ZoZo the only child. Lucky we have so much space for him to walk around. He was so busy walking round and round the bench until we both we as busy snapping photos for him and watching him (incase he fall, walk still not steady) until we didn't really get to enjoy much of the view. The ride was so slow until it was so motionless. Too bad the IR and F1 track still under construction, so nothing much to see lah. Just the skyscrapers, port, Sentosa, buildings, ECP, blah blah blah....all seen before liao loh.... Just to experience this Flyer ride since it's FOC.

Took us not more then 35mins. Came down, went to view the photo we took in that "room", actually very fake wan loh, machiam the pic was taken from outside the capsule in the air. The outline can tell very unreal lah....but I still bought it....haha...well, once in a lifetime mah, since taken le, stupidly paid $15 for it loh.....

Went down to look for a place and feed ZoZo milk. While searching, a caricuture artist was providing free service. Since no just 2 person in the Q, we joined and had our pic drawn by him. I had 1 by myself, cause where DarDar brought ZoZo to (my hp was not with me). By the time they came back, he already started drawing mine. So ZoZo had 1 with his PaPa loh...




Didn't expect we will stay at the Singapore Flyers for so long. By the time ZoZo finished his milk, it was almost 4pm le. Aiyo...so hot and tiring day, somore not enough milk powder to continue to go shopping, so we just went home. Stupid carpark charges cost us $14.40!!! Wakaoz, lucky the ride and lunch was FOC, if not this trip is super expensive......
